  • Location data: ZIP code to match you with local contractors
  • Service selection: The type of home service you need (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, landscaping, roofing, or cleaning)
  • Payment information: Credit or debit card details, processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, time on site, referral source, and browser type via Google Analytics (GA4)
  • Session recordings: Mouse movements, clicks, and scroll behavior via Microsoft Clarity for UX improvement
  • Device information: Screen size, operating system, and browser version

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Contractor matching: We use your ZIP code, service niche, and contact information to match you with the highest-scored available contractor in your area
  • SMS notifications: We send SMS messages to introduce you to your matched contractor and to facilitate communication between you and the contractor
  • Payment processing: We process your booking fee through Stripe and facilitate contractor payouts via Stripe Connect
  • Service improvement: We analyze booking patterns, completion rates, and site usage to improve our matching algorithm and user experience
  • Fraud prevention: We use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated abuse of our booking system

3. Third-Party Services

We share your information with the following third-party services as necessary to operate RealPros:

  • Stripe (payments): Processes booking fees and contractor payouts. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.
  • Twilio (SMS): Delivers text messages between you, your matched contractor, and RealPros. Your phone number is shared with Twilio to facilitate messaging.
  • Supabase (data storage): Hosts our database infrastructure where booking records, contractor profiles, and account data are stored.
  • Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager: Collects anonymized usage data to help us understand how visitors use our site.
  • Microsoft Clarity: Records anonymized session data including clicks and scroll behavior for UX analysis.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: Provides bot protection on our booking forms without traditional CAPTCHAs.
  • Vercel (hosting): Hosts our website and processes server-side requests.
  • Sentry (error tracking): Captures application errors to help us fix issues quickly. May include request metadata but not your personal details.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your information for advertising purposes.

4. SMS Communications

By completing a booking on RealPros, you consent to receive SMS messages related to your booking, including contractor introductions and status updates. Message frequency varies by booking. Standard message and data rates apply.

To stop receiving SMS messages: Reply STOP to any message from RealPros. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies strictly for analytics purposes. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

  • Completed booking records are retained for 3 years for dispute resolution and legal compliance
  • Payment records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations
  • Analytics data is retained in anonymized form and is not linked to your personal identity after 26 months

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant. Our database uses row-level security policies to restrict data access. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS.
